What is AQRU? (Before Deposit in AQRU)
Launched in 2019, the AQRU platform was created as a means for investors to grow their portfolios and diversify their holdings. Its primary focus, therefore, is more on earning than exchanging, serving as a sort of savings account for traders.
However, speaking of diversification, there aren’t that many cryptocurrencies supported on this platform, which, otherwise, would have played its own part in greatly diversifying investors’ holdings as they would have more to choose from.
Still, with what has been said so far, you can earn interest on your holdings by simply depositing some funds on this platform and then investing them, the former of which we will be covering below.
How to Deposit Crypto on AQRU?
However, prior to depositing your funds here, there are a couple of things you will need to get in order first. For one, if you haven’t already created an account here, do so.
And secondly, you will need to complete its KYC process; otherwise, you will not be able to deposit any funds here. Going through KYC may take quite a while, but if you have gotten that over with, you can now move immediately to funding your account.
Step 1. Log in
While AQRU has both its own website and mobile application, here we will instead take a look at its mobile application. But if you want to use its website, do not worry. Since the process is fairly similar, you can still use what we have highlighted here as a reference. So, if you haven’t yet downloaded its mobile application, go to the Play Store and do so. After that, log into your AQRU account.
Step 2. Go to the Deposit Page
After logging in, on the AQRU mobile application’s “Home” screen, you will come across the Deposit option. When you tap on it, the following screen that appears will present you with three different ways of making deposits. These options will be Bank Transfer, Crypto, and Pay by Card.
Here, however, we will be using the Crypto option as an example, which will allow you to deposit tokens from other platforms. So, once you have tapped on Crypto, you will then be directed to the deposit page or screen.
Step 3. Select Network
On the deposit page, you will be provided with the selection of tokens that AQRU supports, which, as stated earlier, can be fairly limited compared to what its alternatives are offering.
So, once you have chosen the token you wish to deposit, you will have to select the network for it as well. However, unfortunately, AQRU only supports the ERC-20 network for its cryptocurrency selection. With the exception of Bitcoin, which only has its native network as an option.
This means that fees will likely be higher for your transactions here than on other cryptocurrency platforms, as they usually have multiple networks to choose from, which will likely include those that carry significantly minimal fees in comparison.
Step 4. Copy Deposit Address
After choosing the token and network, two things will be generated: your deposit address and a QR code. You can use either one of them to make your deposit.
But if you plan on using the deposit address, know that it will be something that is specific to what you have selected here, meaning that this address will correspond to whatever network and token you chose earlier. In other words, you cannot use the same address for a different token or network. So, simply tap on the copy button to copy it to your clipboard.
Step 5. Initiate Transfer
Here, you will need to access an exchange or wallet besides AQRU and then transfer your funds from there, which can be done either through its mobile application or website. Regardless of what you choose, once you’re on that external platform, ensure that you select precisely the same token and network, which would most likely be ERC-20 anyway.
Enter the amount of the withdrawal you wish to make. Then, just paste that deposit address you copied earlier on AQRU into this platform’s withdrawal field. However, if you were using AQRU’s QR code instead, you would have to scan that code using this withdrawal platform’s scanner, which you will likely find on its mobile application, if it has one.
Step 6. Review Details and Await Confirmation
All that you need to do now is simply check if everything is in order with your withdrawal, and if it is, then Confirm your transfer to AQRU. Following that, the transaction will pass through a few block confirmations. If your deposit has been successfully confirmed and executed, you will receive a notification regarding it through either your email address or phone.
As for how long it may actually take, that is not dependent on AQRU. So, if there is some heavy network congestion, it may take a bit longer than usual. You may also check the status of your transaction through the withdrawal platform, if it provides the option for it.
Besides block confirmations, you might have to be wary of any minimum deposit or withdrawal requirements whenever you are transferring funds between platforms. Here, at least, that doesn’t seem to be the case, in that there are no minimum deposit or withdrawal requirements on AQRU, provided you cover the withdrawal fees.
Still, since that will obviously not be the case on every platform, if you withdraw an amount that is below the minimum threshold, your withdrawal might not get captured, and your funds may then be lost and unrecoverable and will therefore not be deposited within your AQRU account.
